South Island Formula Ford Racing
The championships are held over 6 race meetings (each of 3 races) at each of the three South Island motor racing circuits - Ruapuna, Levels and Teretonga.

Cars are available to purchase generally from $10,000 - $50,000 and a well maintained car will hold its value or even appreciate. There is always a variety of Formula Ford racing cars for sale in the South Island and throughout New Zealand.
Running costs of a Formula Ford in the South Island Championship (and including 4 or 5 club days) would range from $6,000 if you run your own car, to $12,000 to have your car professionally prepared or to $15,000 to lease a professionally prepared car. These figures are inclusive of all running costs and entry fees but exclusive of car damage, travel/accomodation and engine rebuilding.
